SWEET AND STICKY BEEF TRIMS

Ingredients
1 1 KG - AGED ANGUS BONELESS STEAK TRIMS
2 1/3 CUP - SOY SAUCE
3 1/2 CUP - WATER
4 1/2 CUP - BROWN SUGAR
5 2 PIECES - GARLIC CLOVES (MINCED)
6 3 TBSP - CORNSTARCH
7 1/2 TSP - SESAME OIL
8 2 TBSP - SCALLIONS (CHOPPED)
9 COOKED RICE
Steps
1 Heat the sesame oil in a medium pan over medium heat.
2 Once hot, add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute making sure it doesn't burn.
3 Add the soy sauce, water and brown sugar and stir constantly. Cook on high heat and let simmer for 5 minutes, then set aside.
4 Meanwhile, toss the steak trims in a bowl with the cornstarch.
5 In a separate skillet, heat some oil over medium high heat and sear the steak trims until a brown crust is formed.
6 Add the soy mixture and continue to cook, stirring frequently for about 5-7 minutes. The sauce should reduce and thicken.
7 Once the sauce is thickened to your liking, turn off the heat and garnish with green onions. Serve over rice.
